Gaetano Brignone bet 12,000 into a pot of around 25,000 with the [ks][6h][9h][2s] on the board after the turn. Daniel Kruger called to bring the pot up to around a 50,000 starting stack.

The [7h] river completed the board. Brignone jammed for about 35,000. Kruger went into the tank for several minutes. He stared down at his opponent but noticed that many of the eyes of the table were on him and had his stack potentially on the line if he called.

“I’m sorry, I have a good hand,” Kruger told the table.

Players seemed fine with this and Kruger tanked for a few more minutes during which time he checked his cards twice. Kruger eventually folded and the dealer awarded Brignone a tasty early pot.

Gaetano Brignone – 85,000
Daniel Kruger – 30,000
