There wasn’t much in the pot when Angelo Patane bet 300,000 on the J♠Q♦7♥4♥Q♥ board from the small blind. Lewis Coffin raised to 750,000 from the big blind and Patane called.

Coffin turned over the Q♣6♣ for trips. Patane also had trips with Q♠10♦ to win the pot with a better kicker.

“I was thinking of shoving,” Patane said after the hand.

“I would have folded,” responded Coffin.
