There wasn’t a ton in the pot when both The Chip Race podcast co-host and Unibet Poker ambassador David Lappin and Peter Kaspar checked the 9♦7♦A♠ flop.

Lappin led out for 4,000 on the 6♣ turn. Kaspar jacked it up to 12,000. Lappin jammed for 44,000 and Kaspar quickly called.

Kaspar was ahead with his two pair but Lappin still had some hope with his double belly buster. He was unable to complete his double gutshot straight draw with the K♣ completing the board on the river.

Lappin shared with us after the hand he will be back for another shot at Grand Event glory but not likely tomorrow. We look forward to Lappin’s return and wish him better luck on his second bullet.
