Laviolle Gets His Revenge on Roberts

Scott Roberts is part of Team Roberts along with his wife Lisa. The couple is well-known, especially in the United States where they are from for traveling around to poker events and have even won some WSOP gold rings in the process.

Unfortunately, Team Roberts won’t be adding an MPF Grand Event trophy to go along with their other accolades.

During one of the opening flights, Roberts doubled through Serguei Skrypnikov Laviolle with king-jack against queens with four threes appearing on the board. Both Laviolle and Roberts separately reminded us of this hand we reported after Roberts was on the rail as follows:

Roberts jammed for about eight big blinds from the small blind with queen-jack and was up against the eight-seven held by Laviolle after he called. An eight spiked the river and that was it for Team Roberts.

It was lovely to see both Scott and Lisa once again after many years from meeting them for the first time. We hope they enjoyed their trip to Malta and we wish them luck in winning a trophy in a side event during the final day of our amazing festival tomorrow.
