Malta Poker Festival Begins Today!
The 2023 Malta Poker Festival (MPF) Spring Edition kicks off today! The festival boasts tons of unique events at the luxurious Portomaso Casino from April 24 until May 1, 2023.
The highlight of the MPF is easily the €300,000 guaranteed MPF €550 Grand Event powered by the Unibet DeepStack Open from April 26 to May 1. The tournament boasts five opening flights before surviving players compete for two more days until the latest winner is crowned. The €300,000 guarantee was smashed last spring which witnessed 1,014 entries create a whopping €486,720 prize pool. Netherlands’ Marthijn Lakerveld defeated Simon Gyorgy en route to claiming the €71,000 top prize.
Meanwhile, Italy’s Mirko Mostaccio will head into the MPF Grand Event as the defending champion after winning the 2022 MPF Autumn Edition Grand Event for a six-figure haul of €136,670.
