APAT Maltese Championship 2019

MPF Welcomes APAT Maltese Amateur Poker Championship 2019!

The Malta Poker Festival is excited to welcome a second edition of the APAT Maltese Amateur Poker Championship, hosted by the Amateur Poker Association & Tour, as an integral and vibrant part of MPF 2019.

APAT created the United Kingdom's first national poker tour in 2006, and since its launch, APAT has developed into a global operator in the live events arena, holding multiple festivals in Europe and North America, in addition to a comprehensive schedule in the UK. The organization remains dedicated to the development of amateur players, providing an affordable, professionally run tour that enables members to enhance their poker skills in a fun, but competitive, environment. Members who have final-tabled APAT National events have gone on to win WSOP, WPT, EPT, Irish Open, GUKPT and many other internationally-recognized professional titles.

Tom Brady, APAT Operations Director responsible for the APAT live tour, says "we're hugely excited to be paying our second visit to Malta, Our players can look forward to not only the traditional APAT National Championship quality event being run over 3rd and 4th November 2019, but also get involved in the MPF from 1st November, where our partners have created a hugely exciting schedule for the week in a paradise destination that all poker players will no doubt revel in - sometimes poker comes second!"

Portomaso’s COO, Mr. Patrick Demanuele adds: “Our casino is ready for a wonderful week in November. We are pleased to bring the recreational player the opportunity to experience a professional “big tour” play, with such a low buy-in. Playing quality poker alongside with our beautiful location is our mission and MPF also adds the friendly atmosphere that characterizes the operation.”
