PORTOMASO CASINO COVID RULES FOR MPF POKER TOURNAMENTS

The below are the General Tournament Rules for players participating in any MPF poker tournament held at Portomaso Casino who results positive for COVID-19.

If an active player tests positive for COVID-19 while she/he is playing a poker tournament at Portomaso Casino, the following rules will apply depending on the scenario:

  1. PLAYER REGISTERED, TOURNAMENT NOT STARTED

If the tournament has not started, a full refund will be given to the player (100% buy in + fee)

  1. TOURNAMENT STARTED, NOT IN THE MONEY – full stack or more

If the tournament has started, we are not yet in the money and the player has the starting stack or more, the buy in is refunded except the fee and the % for dealer staff. Her/his stack is removed from the game.

  • e. buy in 500+50 and 4% dealer cost; player gets refunded with 480€ (550€ – 50€ – 20€);
  1. TOURNAMENT STARTED, NOT IN THE MONEY – less than full stack

If the tournament has started, we are not yet in the money and the player has less than the starting stack, the 50% of the buy in is refunded except the fee and the % for dealer staff.

  • e. buy in 500+50 and 4% dealer cost; player gets refunded with 240€  (550€ – 50€ – 20€)/2
  1. TOURNAMENT STARTED, IN THE MONEY

If the tournament has started and we are in the money, her/his stack will remain in the game and blinded out; when the stack is “all-in”, the player is eliminated and receives the prize amount and the position of her/his elimination. Floor Staff will handle this unusual circumstance preserving the integrity and the fairness of the game: common sense and technical rules will apply to minimize any advantages or disadvantages to any player, table, tournament.

If her/his stack reaches the final table, the player is automatically eliminated at the last position and receives the prize amount of that position.

  • e. final table is 8 handed, the player finishes 8th and her/his stack is removed from the game

*Portomaso Casino reserves the right to request a proof of a positive rapid antigen test result to refund the players.
