Ruopp Gets Beyond a Bad Window

Level 11: 3,000/5,000 (5,000)
Entries: 133/413

Christian Ruopp three-bet jammed for 77,000 from the button and was called by Pascal Inkert, who originally opened from the hijack.

Christian Ruopp: A7
Pascal Inkert: K10

A ten came out of the window but Inkert was instantly frustrated about the rest of the 1077 flop as he was drawing thin to his opponent’s trips.

The 4 turn and J rivers were the blank cards Ruopp was hoping to see the rest of the way on his way to double his stack.

Inkert was down to 55,000 after the hand but jammed the next hand and picked up the blinds.

Christian Ruopp – 167,000
Pascal Inkert – 68,000

From 3 Big Blinds to a Healthy Stack for Slay

Level 11: 3,000/5,000 (5,000)
Entries: 133/413

Kelley Slay shared he was down to just three big blinds when he moved tables. We didn’t see how he went from three to a dozen big blinds but we did see the next step along the way. Slay four-bet jammed his dozen big blinds and was called by Beverly Nicholson, who had Slay well-covered.

Kelley Slay: AA
Beverly Nicholson: QQ

Aces held to beat Nicholson’s ladies after the 7KK94 runout.

“That’s not fair,” said Nicholson after the hand.

Beverly Nicholson – 165,000
Kelley Slay – 130,000

62 Players (or Fewer) Advance to Day 2 Via Day 1d

Level 11: 3,000/5,000 (5,000)
Entries: 139/413

Players are back from dinner break and the Day 1d field size was easily the largest of them all with 413 entries in the mix.

There were 139 players returning from dinner break, with a handful buying in fresh at the last moment rather than opting to hop into the turbo Day 1e which also recently kicked off. Just 62 of those players, representing 15 percent of the field, will advance to tomorrow’s Day 2.

It could be fewer than 62 that advance with at least a €900 min-cash in hand if multiple players hit the rail on the final hand.

Best of luck to all of the Day 1c players.

Dinner Break

Players are on a 60-minute dinner break. Players can still enter or re-enter during the dinner break but late registration will be closed when cards are back in the air at which point we will know how many players are scheduled to advance to Day 2 through the Day 1d field.

Players might instead choose to enter into Day 1e with 20-minute blind levels kicking off in less than an hour at 9 p.m.
